Common questions about how we charge.
Why fixed fees, not hourly?
Hourly billing punishes you for asking questions and rewards us for being slow. Fixed fees mean you can call us as much as you like, and we have an incentive to be efficient.
Are bookkeeping and payroll included?
Bookkeeping is included up to a transaction-volume threshold; above that we quote on volume. Payroll is included up to 5 employees in the Small Business package; extras are £3-5 each per run.
What's not included?
One-off projects (incorporation, R&D Tax Credit claim, HMRC investigation defence) are quoted separately. We always quote in writing before starting any extra work.
Is there a contract?
A simple engagement letter, no minimum term, 30 days' notice to cancel. We'd rather earn your renewal each year than lock you in.
What does "unlimited support" really mean?
Call, email, or message us whenever. No fair-use cap, no hidden surcharge. The only thing we charge separately for is one-off projects, quoted upfront.
