VAT made simple — and a little less stressful.

Quarterly VAT returns, MTD-compliant submissions, scheme reviews (flat rate, cash, margin) — and a sanity-check on whether you should be VAT-registered at all.

What's included

  • Quarterly VAT return preparation and submission via MTD
  • Scheme reviews — flat rate, cash, annual, margin, retail
  • VAT registration and de-registration
  • Domestic Reverse Charge (CIS) handling
  • EU OSS / IOSS for e-commerce sellers
  • VAT investigation and inspection support
  • Partial exemption calculations where needed

VAT is one of those things where small mistakes get expensive fast. Wrong scheme, missed reverse-charge, late return — each one’s a five-figure problem waiting to happen.

We file your quarterly returns on time, every time, through MTD-compatible software. Once a year we sanity-check that you’re on the right scheme and registered for the right things — and we tell you exactly when it’s time to flip strategies.

The questions we get asked

Common questions.

If yours is not here, ring us. We answer in four rings on weekdays and write back the same day on emails.

01 Do I have to be VAT registered?
Yes if your taxable turnover is over £90,000 in any rolling 12-month period (current 2025/26 threshold). Below that it's voluntary, but it can be worth registering if your customers are VAT-registered businesses or if you have a lot of input VAT to claim back.
02 Should I use the Flat Rate Scheme?
It used to be a no-brainer for many service businesses. Since the 'limited cost trader' changes, it's less generous — for many, standard accounting now beats it. We'll model both for you.
03 What is MTD for VAT?
Making Tax Digital for VAT means you must keep digital VAT records and submit returns through compatible software. We handle the software setup and submission for you.
